A THANK YOU TO OUR DONORS
What We Do
Shenandoah Alliance for Shelter's goal is to help prevent homelessness. To do so, we provide temporary financial rental assistance through grant funded housing programs. The availability of these programs changes through the year, and are operated on a first come first serve basis. To receive assistance, clients must document a crisis beyond their control, be within HUD provided income limits, and meet Fair Market Rent limits.
To Determine if you or your household qualifies for housing assistance you must first contact the Centralized Housing Intake Line at 540-271-1701. You will be required to leave a message with your name, number, and brief description of your housing crisis and a trained intake counselor will contact you and complete an assessment.
Due to COVID-19, SAS is operating with limited staff to maintain the safety and health of our staff and clients. Our hours have decreased to Mon-Thurs, 8:30-4:30. Please contact us via phone at 540-459-3212 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org for any service needs, and follow us on Facebook for real-time updates. We will get through this together!
