SAS developed and operates a HelpLink system for​ Local Area Churches to encourage partnership and distribution of community assistance to residents in need as well as to prevent the duplication of financial assistance within Shenandoah County. In partnership with the Salvation Army, SAS administers a Utility Assistance Program for Shenandoah County for residents who have received a shut-off notice.

Contains links to helpful community resources available in the area for individuals and families who may be in need of assistance, food, shelter, clothing, and more.

Our mission is to prevent homelessness by providing supportive services to enable our clients to achieve independence.


Shenandoah Alliance for Shelter is a 501 (C)(3) tax exempt, non-profit organization.  All donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law, and acknowledged in writing to our donors
